Crowthorne’s property stock is almost split in half by Duke Ride running through the heart of the village. The period property stock tends to be found on the south side of the road in locations such as Upper Broadmoor Road which offers an array of Victorian semi-detached properties and some twee detached cottages; whilst further roads such as Forest Road, Napier Road, Cambridge Road and Wellington Road provide an eclectic mixture of period housing and modern in fill accommodation. However Chaucer Road and Waterloo Road do offer more recent modern construction.
In considering those areas north of Dukes Ride, Edgcumbe Park Drive and the roads it feeds provide uncluttered housing constructed around the 1970’s, whilst in areas such as Merryman Drive, The Brackens, The Conifers and Lupin Ride you will find a selection of good quality more modern accommodation. In all, the village offers an interesting array of property styles, sizes and ages.

Within Crowthorne High Street you find a number of high street banks, cafes, coffee shops and restaurants juxtaposed with a good range of local independent traders which is then complemented by larger stores such as Lidl and The Co-Operative.
On exiting the High Street and travelling west down Dukes Ride you will come across the Prince Public House, local Post Office and a Pharmacy whilst continuing along this road towards the rail station you come across a further parade of shops, whilst Tesco Express may be found in yet a further small parade on Greenwood Road.

Crowthorne is surrounded by some beautiful open countryside for those who enjoy the tranquility of a quiet drive or leisurely walk, however, for those who love things a little more up tempo you will not be disappointed.
Edgbarrow Sports Centre is situated off Grant Lane and provides a great range of sporting facilities for the whole family from squash to badminton, short tennis, short mat bowling, 5 a-side football, basketball through to a great range of fitness classes, 5 tennis courts and an outdoor all weather synthetic flood lit football pitch. Furthermore Pinewood Leisure Centre is set just north of the village and is home to a number of local sporting clubs.
In addition Crowthorne tennis club is situated off of Nile Mile Ride and the East Berkshire Golf Club is set just west of the village.
